As a Summer Law Student, Joseph is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to attending law school, Joseph received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Specialization in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Joseph volunteered with Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports, instructing participants with disabilities in adaptive snowboarding.
Following his admission to the University of Calgary, Joseph volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, teaching legal advocacy skills and leading a mock trial program for elementary school students.
Joseph was drawn to BLG’s collaborative culture. After catching an early glimpse of the mentorship, leadership, and close-knit relationships that are inherent to BLG, his meeting with two associates earlier in the year solidified his confidence that he would have the opportunity to ask meaningful questions and learn through continual feedback. Being forward-looking, Joseph appreciates that BLG’s Business Associate Skills and Disputes Junior Associate Programs allow associates to gain exposure to a variety of practice areas. He is confident that the breadth of exposure BLG provides to students and junior associates is conducive to discovering a practice area that aligns with his strengths and interests.
Being from British Columbia, Joseph appreciates living in a city with mountains in his backyard. He enjoys spending his weekends with friends and is excited to explore new trails in Banff and Kananaskis this summer. After a day of work, Joseph enjoys going for a run or visiting his local yoga studio.
