As a Summer Law Student, Kayla is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to law school, Kayla earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta where she learned French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese. After graduation, she managed contracts and drafted grants for Green Graphite Technologies Inc. During her first year at law school, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada where she conducted research for an immigration project. She also coordinates events with the Environmental Law Society for its members.
Kayla chose BLG after experiencing the firm’s collaborative culture firsthand and connecting with its talented team. She values the genuine connections she built throughout the interview process with both lawyers and the recruitment committee. Kayla looks forward to developing her skills in the Calgary market through comprehensive mentorship from industry-leading professionals.
In her spare time, Kayla likes hiking, skiing & snowboarding, playing piano and reading.
