Tia is an articling student in BLG’s Ottawa office. She is focusing on disputes and corporate law.
As a law student, Tia was a senior caseworker at Community Legal Aid where she conducted Landlord Tenant Board hearings and provided direct client advocacy. She is also a research assistant contributing to research on judicial bias.
Tia is also working on publishing an article shedding light on the disparities in legal protections for Deaf individuals in mental health facilities.
Tia joined BLG in 2019 as an Administrative Assistant/Practice Assistant and was most recently a Coordinator of Legal Operations with the Beyond Leasing team, where she drafted leasing documents and coordinated team projects.
Prior to BLG, Tia worked as a student at a boutique criminal defence law firm in Ottawa.
