Melissa is an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office. She is focusing on disputes law.
Prior to articling, Melissa worked for a sole practitioner focused on nonprofit, employment and labour law. During law school, Melissa served as the Director of Community Services at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, where she managed the Clinic’s Court Accompaniment and Commissioner for Oaths program. She also served as the School Year Coordinator for McGill’s Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada.
Melissa thoroughly enjoyed her previous summer at BLG where she was able to take part in the firm’s mentorship program. She decided to return to BLG because of the firm’s commitment to student development, its collaborative culture, and its wide breadth of practice areas and industries.
Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys running, baking sourdough, and spending time in nature.
