Melissa is a summer student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2025 summer term.

As a law student, Melissa serves as the Director of Community Services at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill—a non-profit, student-run, bilingual legal information service that aids the McGill and Montreal communities. In addition to her responsibilities at the Clinic, Melissa is a tutorial leader for a first-year law class where she helps 1L students learn essential legal skills for law school. Melissa is also a Senior Editor for the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law and has previously served as the Program Coordinator of McGill’s chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada.

Melissa chose to work at BLG after hearing from many of the firm’s lawyers during the in-firm process. These interactions revealed the firm’s supportive and welcoming atmosphere and strong emphasis on student development. The connections she made during the recruitment process reaffirmed her decision to work at BLG.

In Melissa’s spare time, she enjoys going for long runs, solving puzzles with her family, and hanging out with her cats, Peaches and Theo.
