Alex is a summer student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2023 summer term. He is focusing on tax law.
Prior to becoming a law student, Alex worked as an accountant at a big-four accounting firm, KPMG LLP, where he obtained his CPA designation. Alex led large scale audits of public and private companies, gaining vital experience in the areas of financial reporting and taxation. During his undergraduate degree, Alex was the captain of his varsity Track & Field team and volunteered by creating a program that taught Aboriginal youth financial literacy. In law school, Alex is a member of the Osgoode Tax Law Association.
Alex chose to work at BLG because of the great people he met through the interview process, the strong reputation BLG has, and the type of work that BLG could offer him.
In Alex’s free time he enjoys running, traveling, fantasy sports, and poker. Additionally, as a foodie and a movie buff, Alex is always looking for good recommendations.
