Deva is currently an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office. He is focusing on business law.
Prior to law school, Deva completed his undergraduate studies at Trinity College, University of Toronto, with a focus on economic globalization. He also worked for two Members of the House of Commons in Ottawa, where he had the privilege of gaining firsthand insight into the institutions and policies that shape Canada’s public finances and national defence. In the summer of 2024, Deva summered at BLG's Toronto office where he enjoyed working on various matters related to investment funds and mergers & acquisitions.
Deva found that BLG stood out because, throughout the recruitment process, he felt genuinely welcomed and supported by the staff, students, and lawyers he connected with. Hearing directly from everyone about their experiences at the firm gave him confidence that it was a place where he could contribute and develop professionally in the ways he envisioned.
In his spare time, Deva enjoys reading history, traveling, playing tennis, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family.
