Averi is excited to return to BLG for his 2L summer with the business group.
Averi attends the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of French Common Law. For the second year in a row, he was a Teaching Assistant for the first year Constitutional Law class. As Vice-President of the French Common Law Students Association (RÉCLEF), Averi planned activities for French Common Law students and advocated for access to French language legal services in Ontario. He also co-authored a submission to the Ontario Bar on behalf of the RÉCLEF about the proposed modifications to Ontario’s entry requirements to the legal profession. Averi has volunteered at several legal clinics, through courses and Pro Bono Students Canada, working in administrative law and immigration law, supporting clients who are part of the LGBTQ+, francophone and immigrant communities of Ottawa. Prior to joining BLG in the summer of 2025, he worked as a Summer Student at a small civil litigation focused law firm in Ottawa.
Averi is happy to return to BLG after an amazing experience in 2025 in the litigation group. He found that BLG is a welcoming environment, with excellent support and learning opportunities for students. Averi is excited to join the business group to learn from BLGs’ excellent team and participate in new projects.
In his free time, Averi enjoys swimming, going to the gym and crocheting. He is fluent in French and English and is currently learning German.
