Averi is excited to start her position as a Summer Law Student at BLG.
Averi has completed her second year of law school at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of French Common Law. She volunteered with the Ottawa Law Review as an Associate Editor and a member of the Podcast Committee. She also completed her second project with Pro Bono Students Canada working with a legal clinic in Ottawa. As Vice President of Social Affairs for the Regroupement des étudiant.e.s en Common Law français, Averi planned activities for French Common Law students and advocated for access to French language legal services in Ontario. Averi was a Teaching Assistant for the first year Constitutional Law class during the winter semester of 2025. Prior to joining BLG, she worked as a Summer Student at a small civil litigation focused law firm in Ottawa.
After living in multiple cities across five Canadian Provinces, Averi looks forward to moving to Toronto to gain experience in a full-service law firm. During the recruitment process, BLG stood out through excellent testimony from articling students and by showcasing the many opportunities for students to learn from the knowledgeable lawyers and staff at the firm.
In her free time, Averi enjoys crochet, sewing, swimming and weightlifting. She is fluent in French and English and is in the process of learning German.
