OTTAWA — On August 6, 2025, BluWave-ai, a Canadian provider of artificial intelligence software for renewable energy and transport electrification, announced it has reached new milestones in its intellectual property and data capabilities.
BluWave-ai has grown its patent portfolio to 11 granted patents and 43 applications filed in various countries. It has also expanded its BluWave-ai Atlas data platform to more than 20 billion AI-preprocessed records.
The patents protect technologies that use AI to optimize energy grids, manage electric vehicle charging and improve energy storage. The portfolio is part of a strategy to help system operators manage fluctuating electricity loads and renewable generation with batteries and EVs — a need the company says will grow as electric and renewable energy use expands globally.
