A new regulatory landscape in Canada

Canada is implementing major changes to its competition/antitrust and foreign investment laws in response to public and legislative concerns about concentration, inflation as well as foreign investment in key sensitive sectors. These changes will expand the reach of the Canadian Competition Act and Investment Canada Act and will impact deal planning and go to market strategies of Canadian and international businesses.

If you are involved in deal origination or execution, or seeking to expand your business’ market share, this session is important to you.

Join our Competition/Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group for an engaging rapid-fire look at the strategic implications of the changes, with practical advice for how to prepare for this new landscape.

The presentation recording will be made available to all registrants.

CPD information

BC | This course has been accredited for 1 hour. Course name: A New Regulatory Landscape in Canada. Course number: N18012024.

ON | This program is eligible for 1 Substantive Hour.

QC | Please note, the concept of "recognition" or "accreditation" has been abolished. By doing this, the Barreau is trying to make it easier for lawyers to claim mandatory CLE credits without a formal accreditation process. It is now up to individual lawyers to determine the eligibility of a training activity and to declare the hours in their “Dossier de formation en ligne”.
