BLG Partner First Canadian Chair Of Antitrust In Asia Conference

Toronto (November 8, 2017) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Subrata Bhattacharjee has been appointed as Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Antitrust Law’s 2018 Antitrust in Asia Conference. Highlighting BLG’s commitment to the Asia-Pacific region, Mr. Bhattacharjee is the first Canadian to be appointed to this position.

The Antitrust in Asia Conference features leading enforcers, judges, academics, and practitioners. It will address key developments across the Asia-Pacific region, providing conference attendees the opportunity to interact with top policy-makers. An essential event for competition lawyers with clients or matters based in or touching Asia, the Conference is set to take place in Seoul, South Korea from May 31 to June 1, 2018.

Mr. Bhattacharjee is the National Vice Chair of BLG’s Competition and Foreign Investment Review Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of competition/antitrust law, foreign investment law and regulatory litigation, including quasi-criminal and constitutional matters. Mr. Bhattacharjee is actively involved in BLG’s International Business practice with particular emphasis on East Asia. He sits on the Council of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law.
