New Counsel Brings Experience on Major Infrastructure Projects Across Canada
Toronto (November 7, 2018) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Patrick Dolan, who joined as counsel in its Corporate Commercial and Public-Private Infrastructure Projects groups today. Patrick will be based in BLG’s Toronto office.
Prior to joining BLG, Patrick was general counsel at a leading construction company, where he focused on large infrastructure projects. He has worked on many major projects across Canada, for example the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project in Toronto, the Champlain Bridge in Montréal, and the Northeast Anthony Henday Drive highway project in Edmonton.
"Our clients will benefit from Patrick’s range of experience working on many of the country’s major infrastructure projects," said Frank Callaghan, BLG’s national group head, Corporate and Capital Markets. "Having been in the genenal counsel role he understands the needs of clients and the challenges they face."
Patrick’s practice focuses on public-private partnerships and construction contracts, including partnership and joint venture agreements, and complex design and supply contracts.
He obtained his JD from the University of Toronto, and completed his undergrad at Harvard. He was called to the bar in 2009.
BLG’s Public-Private Infrastructure Projects Group has been integral in the development and implementation of some of the largest and most novel public-private partnership (P3) projects across Canada. The group provides legal advice to developers, financiers, governments, government agencies and not-for-profit public owners across a broad spectrum of projects.
