Chris N. Hunter Joins BLG as Partner

Chris brings nearly two decades of experience in intellectual property law

Toronto (April 17, 2019)— Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Chris N. Hunter, who joins the firm’s Intellectual Property Group in Toronto today. Chris brings to the firm nearly two decades of experience providing clients with strategic legal advice on their intellectual property portfolios, and providing litigation support for infringement and misappropriation actions. He also has specific expertise in negotiating the intellectual property aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Chris is also a registered patent and trademark agent and has expertise in industrial designs. Earlier in his career, he was significantly involved in representing Nortel in the sale of its patent portfolio, worth $4.5 billion.

Outside of the firm, Chris is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he teaches the commercialization of intellectual property course, and he is a regular guest speaker at Ryerson University.
