BLG adds new counsel to its Environmental Group

Julie Belley Perron joins Montréal office

Montréal (February 7, 2020) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) welcomes Julie Belley Perron, who joined as counsel in its Environmental Group. Julie will be based in BLG’s Montréal office.

“Julie’s extensive experience in project development will be an asset to BLG’s clients,” said Cindy Clarke, national group head, Specialized Disputes at BLG. “She has developed a broad range of expertise throughout her career which will offer a unique perspective for our clients.”

Prior to joining BLG, Julie was a partner at a large Québec-based firm, where she specialized in the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, in environmental law, and in the development and implementation of energy projects. Julie was also the director of legal affairs and operations at a major renewable energy producer where she managed many complex projects. Julie holds a LLB from the University of Montréal. She was called to the Québec Bar in 2004.
