Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Mathieu Piché-Messier, National Business Leader, Commercial Litigation, has been welcomed into the fellowship of the Litigation Counsel of America.
The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) is an invitation-only, peer-selected honorary society of 3,500 of the best trial lawyers in the legal industry. The LCA recognizes deserving, experienced and highly qualified lawyers, and provides additional sources for professional development, community involvement and the promotion of ethical standards in the practice of law.
Fellows are selected and invited into the fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.
Mathieu joins an esteemed group including seven other BLG LCA Fellows.
In BLG's Montréal office, Mathieu focuses his practice on complex litigation. He has significant experience in civil and commercial law and international arbitration, particularly in commercial fraud and piracy, identity theft, high tech litigation, privacy and cybersecurity, defamation law, aviation law, competition law, industrial espionage, shareholder disputes, unfair competition, and intellectual property rights enforcement. He also acted for plaintiffs in preparing and enforcing seizures before judgment, injunctions and Anton Piller, Mareva and Norwich injunctions and orders and acted as Independent Supervisor Solicitor.
