Parker Easter is a corporate and commercial lawyer developing a broad business law practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, commercialization, and corporate finance, particularly within technology and high-growth sectors. He works closely with clients as a responsive and practical advisor.

Parker has experience as a successful founder in both the manufacturing and restaurant industries, and experience as an early employee at one of Canada's fastest growing startups. He remains actively engaged in startup and innovation ecosystems across Canada and is a committed student and enthusiast of startup and high-growth companies.

In addition to his Juris Doctorate from the University of Calgary, Parker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Brandon University in Manitoba, where he was named Valedictorian of his graduating class.

    • Counsel to target in reverse takeover transaction valued at $5.5M by way of qualifying transaction and concurrent financing of subscription receipts.
    • Counsel to a local startup in its $5M oil well asset purchase as well as its corresponding asset purchase financing by way of convertible debenture offering.
  • Venture Capital and Private Equity

    • Syndicated group of majority shareholders of AI startup in respect of their negotiation of conversion rights pursuant to a VC financing.
    • Restructuring of venture capital fund with 60+ portfolio co's for tax purposes.
    • Fastener Group, a market leading distributor of fasteners, tools, safety gear and other related accessories in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, on its partnership with TriWest Capital Partners, one of Canada's leading private equity firms.
  • High Growth and Emerging Markets

    • Counsel for international ag-cell ecosystem developer in its Canadian rollout and initial multi-stakeholder funding consortium.
    • Counsel to networking and relationship management platform in its successful government application for intellectual property strategy funding.
    • Startup, organization, and $1M seed financing for local AI-enabled energy marketplace startup.
    • Startup, organization, and IP transfer for proprietary 3D printing of carbon fibre aerospace components technology.
    • Ayrton Energy Inc., a local hydrogen-tech startup, in its oversubscribed $9.1M Series Preferred financing co-led by BDC Capital and Clean Energy Ventures.
