Michael has experience in fraud, energy, securities, construction, property and insurance litigation. He also has a special interest in complicated commercial disputes.
Michael acts in commercial arbitrations, and appeared before the Court of Justice of Alberta and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta.
In law school, Michael won several moot awards, including third place oralist in the Davies Corporate & Securities Litigation Moot, and best advocate for client interests at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition. Before embarking on his legal career, Michael worked as a registered nurse practicing in mental health.
Prior to joining BLG, Michael had a broad litigation practice at a local full-service firm. He also worked as a registered nurse specializing in mental health.
