Maria is a financial services lawyer specializing in the regulation of financial institutions. She brings together her deep knowledge of the complex regulatory landscape in the financial services and payments industry, with her in-house experience advising lines of business on a variety of financial products and services, to provide clients with pragmatic and strategic solutions.
Maria regularly advises on all aspects of regulatory matters affecting a variety of financial services providers, including banks, trust and loan companies, credit unions, and participants in the payments card industry.
Maria is also a member of BLG’s Public Policy and Government Relations Group. She advises clients on political law matters, which include lobbying, conflicts of interest, political financial and election laws.
Prior to joining BLG, Maria practiced at a prominent national business law firm and as in-house counsel at a large financial institution.
