Muna is a summer student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2025 term.

As a law student, Muna has taken on a variety of leadership roles, including Editor-in-Chief of the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution, President of the McGill Arbitration Student Society, and Co-President of McGill’s Women of Colour Collective. She also demonstrated her negotiation skills by winning the 2023 Canadian National Negotiation Competition (French division), later returning as a judge at both the pre-qualifier and national levels. In recognition of her advocacy, mentorship, and leadership throughout her time at McGill, Muna was awarded the 2025 Chancellor Gretta Chambers Student Leadership Award by the McGill Alumni Association.

Before joining BLG, Muna worked for four years on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. During this time, she served as an Issues Manager, Parliamentary Affairs Advisor, and French and English Writer to both the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. These experiences sharpened her ability to communicate clearly, think strategically, and manage complex issues—skills she is eager to leverage in her legal practice.

Muna chose BLG for its reputation for excellence, collaborative culture, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Throughout the recruitment process, she was impressed by the evident camaraderie among colleagues—a testament to the collaborative culture that nurtures both personal and professional growth. BLG’s commitment to providing students with hands-on experiences across a diverse range of practice areas further solidified her decision to join the firm.

In her spare time, Muna enjoys immersing herself in Toronto’s vibrant music scene, discovering new restaurants, staying engaged with global and domestic politics, and practicing the seven languages she speaks.
