CSA Registrant Regulation Proposals: What's Shelved (For Now) and What's Supersized

July 18, 2018

7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Bay Adelaide Centre, East Tower
22 Adelaide St W 34th floor Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5H 4E3

Please join lawyers from BLG’s Investment Management and Securities Litigation and Regulatory practice groups as we discuss the June 21 CSA proposals to reform significant portions of the regulation that applies to all registrants, as well as to change the fee structures of mutual funds. Comments on the proposed amendments to NI 31-103 are not due until October 19 and draft rules on the mutual fund fee changes won’t be out until the fall, but it’s never too early to understand what is being proposed and think about the implications for your firm and your representatives. These proposals, if adopted in their current form, will significantly impact the entire asset management industry, as well as investors.

Please join us for what will be a lively, spirited and informative session. Prema Thiele and David Di Paolo will lead the discussion and speakers will include Lynn McGradeRebecca CowderyDonna SpagnoloLaura PagliaCaitlin SainsburyMatthew Williams and Michael Taylor.

This session will also be offered by WebEx for those who cannot attend in person. Kindly RSVP by July 16, 2018.

We look forward to having you join us. If you have any questions about this event, please email Cassie Forman at [email protected].
