Kirsten Kjellander returns to BLG's Vancouver office
Vancouver (June 2, 2017) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Kirsten Kjellander has joined the Tax group in its Vancouver office.
Ms. Kjellander's practice focuses on international and public company taxation. She has experience advising clients on a wide range of domestic and international tax issues and has particular experience with the interpretation of tax treaties, the offshore trust rules, and public-private partnerships, debt restructurings, cross-border transactions and the general anti-avoidance rule (GAAR).

Ms. Kjellander is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where she obtained her LL.B in 2005. Kirsten articled at BLG and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2006, joining the Firm as an associate in the Tax Group until 2008. Kirsten has also been a member of the Government Budget and Finance Committee of the Vancouver Board of Trade, where she served as co-chair of a subcommittee that drafted a position paper on the return of the provincial sales tax in British Columbia. She is a member of the International Fiscal Association and completed part two of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant's in-depth tax course.
