Joelle represents clients in insurance defence, commercial litigation and energy, environmental and regulatory matters. She advises insurers, corporations and energy sector clients on complex disputes and regulatory compliance issues.
Joelle has experience in insurance defence litigation, commercial disputes and regulatory matters affecting the energy and natural resources sectors. She regularly appears before Alberta courts and administrative tribunals. Her practice also includes environmental compliance and regulatory advice, as well as advice and defence on environment impairment liability for clients in the energy industry.
Prior to joining BLG, Joelle practised at a leading Alberta law firm. She holds a Master of Public Policy with a specialization in natural resources, energy and environmental policy from the University of Calgary, which complements her legal practice in the energy and environmental sectors.
