Ellen practices corporate and commercial law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and general commercial matters.
Ellen works on domestic and cross-border buy-side and sell-side M&As, including the preparation and negotiation of transactional agreements as well as the management of due diligence processes. She also regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements for businesses across a variety of industries in connection with their day-to-day operational needs.
Prior to joining BLG as a student in 2023, Ellen worked at a commercial litigation boutique law firm as a student-at-Law, and she completed an internship with Comité Logement Lachine-LaSalle, in tenant legal services.

- Counsel to Enertrak Inc., a Montréal-based HVACR distributor and its shareholders, in the sale to Beijer Ref AB (Nasdaq Stockholm: BEIJ B), a Swedish publicly traded global refrigeration group, including an equity rollover component. Enertrak reported total revenue of C$165 million and has approximately 120 employees to serve commercial and residential markets across Eastern Canada.
- The Gryphin Advantage, a Canadian managing general agency (MGA), in its acquisition of Groupe Financier Boulos, a Québec MGA with a long-standing client base of independent financial advisors.
- Acted for a Montréal-based hotel investor in connection with the incorporation and organization of a hotel business and the negotiation of related management agreements.
- Acted for a Canadian real estate group in connection with a corporate reorganization involving the sale of four commercial properties, and the acquisition of ownership interests in one commercial property.
