Alfred is a disputes lawyer with a focus on complex commercial litigation.
Alfred has experience across all stages of the dispute resolution process, including trials, appeals, urgent injunctive relief, and alternative dispute resolution such as international arbitration. His work includes complex proceedings and disputes involving multiple parties and cross‑border elements, with jurisdictions including the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe. This cross‑jurisdictional experience positions him to manage matters that span multiple legal systems and regulatory environments.
Prior to joining BLG, Alfred was an associate at a full‑service law firm. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, where he also earned Dean’s Honour List standing for academic excellence. During law school, Alfred served as an Editor of the Ottawa Law Review and as News Editor of Inter Alia, the law school’s student‑run newspaper. He was also Co‑President of the First-Generation Network chapter and volunteered as a caseworker with the school’s Ticket Defence Program.
