Adam maintains a general litigation practice. He has experience across a broad range of matters, including corporate and commercial disputes, employment disputes, and contract disputes.

Adam has appeared before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice.

During law school, Adam was a clinical law student at CLASSIC Law in Saskatoon where he appeared before the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan and before various Tribunals. He also served on the Board of Editors for the Saskatchewan Law Review.

Adam summered and articled with BLG prior to joining the firm as an associate.

Experience

  • ICR Commercial Real Estate Inc v Lau, 2023 SKORT 1451 (CanLII) – successfully defended claim for entitlement to security deposit; successfully counter-claimed for general damages for breach of tenant’s rights and successfully obtained aggravated damages for enforcing illegal contractual provisions
  • Saskatoon Housing Authority v Akre, 2023 SKORT 350 (CanLII) – successfully negotiated extension of Writ of Possession with the Landlord
  • Hearn & Sha’Oulle v Baskaran Holdings Inc (12 December 2023), Saskatoon 233233 (Saskatchewan Office of Residential Tenancies) (unreported) – successfully claimed for general damages for breach of tenant’s rights and for illegal rent increases, successfully obtained aggravated damages for wilful disregard of statutory obligations by creating circumstances to compel the Tenants from the rental property
