  • Advised COSCO and OOIL on the Canadian aspects of the US$6.3 billion acquisition of OOIL (world’s 6th largest liner shipping company) by COSCO Shipping (world’s 4th largest linter shipping company and Chinese SOE) and Shanghai Port Group
  • Advised a major Chinese online payments company on the national security review of its establishment of operations in Canada
  • Advised Nevsun Resources Ltd., a TSX listed mining company, in its successful defense against a C$1.4 billion hostile bid from Lundin Mining Corporation, and negotiation of a friendly C$1.86 billion white knight bid from Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd., a state-owned enterprise
