Barrie focuses on commercial real estate matters. He acts for brokers, agents, vendors, purchasers, landlords and tenants regarding the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of properties. He advises clients on appropriate options and strategies, having regard to the current state of the law and changing market conditions.
Barrie is regularly engaged in the review, negotiation, drafting and enforcement of all real estate related documentation, including:
- offers to purchase
- restrictive covenants
- rights of first refusal
- lease agreements
In addition, Barrie is external counsel to one of Canada’s major oil companies, providing advice and expertise with regard to all aspects of the downstream wholesale and retail sale of petroleum products.
