On Aug. 4, 2026, BLG acted as counsel to Enertrak Inc. and its shareholders in connection with the sale of Enertrak to a subsidiary of Beijer Ref AB (Nasdaq Stockholm: BEIJ B).
Beijer Ref AB, headquartered in Sweden, is a global refrigeration and climate control solutions group operating across 45 countries. Enertrak, established in 1982 by Samir and Ada Trak and headquartered in the Greater Montréal Area, is a specialized distributor of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) products serving contractors across Eastern Canada.
The transaction was structured as a private share purchase under which Beijer Ref acquired 80 per cent of Enertrak's shares. The existing management retained an ownership interest and will continue to lead the business.
BLG was the lead legal adviser on the sell-side of this cross-border acquisition, which marked Beijer Ref's arrival in Canada.
