Reesa Barrs is the Director, Talent - Interim Senior Manager of Professional Recruitment and Student Programs in the Toronto office. She leads all aspects of the firm’s summer and articling student programs, including recruitment, mentorship, professional development, integration, and performance management. Reesa works closely with the student committee and supports students throughout their time at the firm, helping them grow professionally and navigate their legal careers.
In addition to her work with students, Reesa is responsible for attracting lateral legal talent to the Toronto office, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s strategic goals and culture.
Prior to her current role, Reesa served as Director, Talent Advisory Legal, where she supported legal professionals across the full talent lifecycle—from onboarding and mentorship to performance management, compensation, and career development. She partnered with firm leadership to align business and talent strategies and foster a high-performing legal team.
Reesa brings well over a decade of litigation experience, having practiced at one of Canada’s largest insurance companies and previously at a mid-sized litigation firm in Toronto.
