While principally a litigator, George also acts as counsel to Canadian and multinational corporations and insurers and provides strategic advice to designers, manufacturers, importers and distributors of products across various industry sectors.
His expertise defending product liability claims includes providing advice regarding risk management issues of products, including product warnings and safety issues as well as investigations and proceedings by statutory bodies.
At the intersection of technology, innovation, business and law – think autonomous and AI systems, the Internet of Things – is where George's expertise and practical advice gives his clients an edge. George has also defended architects and engineers in various construction related claims. He also regularly defends municipalities in infrastructure related claims, including roadway design and maintenance. George has significant trial experience – jury and non-jury – and has appeared before all level of Courts in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal.
