Lia is an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office. She is focusing on disputes law.
As a law student, Lia was an active member of her school community. Lia served as the Black Law Students’ Association President, a research assistant at the Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University, and a bilingual editor for the inaugural Black Canadian Law Journal with the Law Faculty at McGill University. Before joining BLG, Lia worked as a French educator at one of Canada’s largest school boards and as a policy research assistant at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
After learning about the firm's interesting legal work, Lia chose BLG to begin her legal education. BLG is a leader in innovation and creative problem-solving. Lia knew she wanted to join a team at the forefront of a changing legal landscape prioritizing forward-thinking, diversity, and inclusion.
When Lia is not studying, you can find her reading a new book, going to the gym, and trying new cuisines with family and friends.
