When BLG recently changed its document management solution to iManage, the rollout happened with a charitable twist.
Members of the firm’s learning team needed a simple way to tell who had questions about the new platform. The team did not want to use paper or anything else that would be thrown out later. From this came an idea that is a win for the environment and the community.
The firm purchased 1,500 cans of food. A red can (tomatoes or kidney beans) placed on a firm member’s desk indicated that they needed help. The green cans (peas) meant it was okay to keep going. All 1,500 cans are being donated to food banks in Calgary, Montréal, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa.
