Amir is a construction and litigation lawyer. He represents clients in various sectors and at all levels of the construction pyramid, including owners, contractors, consultants and subcontractors.
Amir has considerable experience advising on various construction related issues, including:
- Breach of contract and negligence;
- Design and engineering issues;
- Construction defects and delays; and
- Lien and breach of trust proceedings.
Amir has acted for clients in several adjudications under the Construction Act, as well as the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of the King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Small Claims Court.
Amir previously trained and worked in mechanical engineering prior to becoming a lawyer. Before joining BLG, Amir practiced at a well-known construction litigation boutique in downtown Toronto.
