Chris is an associate and patent agent trainee in BLG's Intellectual Property group, specializing in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the life sciences, biotechnology, and medical technologies sectors.
Chris has a wide range of technical expertise in physiology and pathophysiology, neuroscience, cell biology, genetics, and stem cell technologies.
Prior to becoming an associate, Chris was both a summer and articling student at BLG’s Vancouver office. Before attending law school, Chris conducted doctoral research at the University of Manitoba in therapeutic strategies for promoting remyelination and repair after spinal cord injury or the onset of multiple sclerosis. Chris has authored and co-authored several scientific publications related to these topics.
