Naime Isaj advises clients on various aspects of Canadian competition and foreign investment review law, including mergers and acquisitions, advertising and marketing practices, abuse of dominance and other reviewable trade practices.
Her experience spans competition, intellectual property, corporate and privacy law. She has drafted pre-merger notification forms, Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) request letters, Investment Canada Act (ICA) notification forms, and trademark-related documents. Naime has reviewed and revised IP licensing agreements, advised on advertising, and marketing regulatory requirements, and supported civil litigation matters.
Prior to joining BLG, Naime served as a Competition Law Officer for the Competition Bureau of Canada and articled with a national firm.
Naime co-authored an academic journal article on antitrust enforcement of monopsony power in Canada, accepted for publication in the Canadian Competition Law Review.
