As an Articling Law Student, Marianna is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Marianna assists lawyers in advising clients across a broad range of legal matters. Drawing on her backgrounds in law and pharmacy, she contributes to legal research, drafting, and due diligence, with a particular interest in health care, life sciences, and regulated industries.
Before joining Borden Ladner Gervais, Marianna supported policy development, legislative reform, and regulatory guidance at the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba. Her experience working at the intersection of law, health care, and professional regulation gives her particular insight into regulated professions, administrative law, and life sciences.
Marianna has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and professional service. During law school, she was recognized as a Pitblado Scholar in each year of studies and graduated with the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law Gold Medal for the highest academic standing in her class. She also served as a student representative with the Manitoba Bar Association and contributed to the legal community through her involvement with the Christian Legal Fellowship. Marianna held leadership roles within the pharmacy profession, including serving as a Board Director and Chair of the External Relations Committee with Pharmacists Manitoba, where she advocated for initiatives supporting the profession and delivery of patient care.
