Element Materials Technology to divest North American Life Sciences Testing Services business to Eurofins Scientific SE for US$400 million

In a transaction announced on July 20, 2026, BLG is acting as Canadian counsel to Element Materials Technology in connection with the sale of its North American Life Sciences Testing Services business to Eurofins Scientific SE for an enterprise value of US$400 million. Based in London, Element Materials Technology is a global provider of testing, inspection and certification services.

The deal is structured as a cross-border carve-out and includes pre-closing reorganization across multiple provinces in Canada and the United States. BLG is assisting on the Canadian aspects of the transaction, including M&A, labour and employment, tax, real estate and competition matters.
