Darren Glossop

Darren is an experienced specialty insurance litigator, focused on coverage disputes and multi-party construction disputes.

Darren has successfully defended clients in a wide array of matters including property losses, professional liability, regulatory complaints, and bodily injury claims. His work reflects a deep understanding of the legal and strategic complexities involved in high-stakes insurance disputes.

Darren was called to the Bar in South Africa in 2012 and has developed a robust legal career in South Africa and Canada with a focus on specialty insurance litigation across multiple jurisdictions. Darren has defended organizations and professionals in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

While in South Africa, Darren gained invaluable first-hand maritime law experience as in-house corporate counsel for a prominent international shipping company. In that role, Darren represented the company in commercial, construction, insurance, and maritime litigation. He also managed external legal vendors, giving him unique insight into the operational and strategic needs of in-house legal teams.

Darren completed his articles in Alberta in 2021 at a national insurance defence firm. Before being called to the bar in Alberta, Darren worked at a boutique litigation firm in Nova Scotia.
